Biotherapies & Immunology


The development of biotherapies from concepts to clinical trials requires large knowledge in basics and biotechnical science as well as in immunology. That is why the main objective of this international master program entitled “Biotherapies & immunology” is to offer to students the possibility to access to a large knowledge in the field of biotherapies with special focus on immunology.

Exceptionally for the 2018-2019 academic year, only the M2 programme will be given in English. For the students enrolled in the M2 programme, one semester will be dedicated to the international mobility.

Public

The International Master is open to students from the scientific and medical streams of Sorbonne Université and other universities, depending on their background. Students must have a thorough knowledge of biology in general and specialized knowledge in Immunology. Students must master scientific French (certified level B2 or above) and English (certified level B2 or above).

Organisation

The 2-year program is intended to educate the best students of the new generation to become researchers who in forthcoming years will achieve further advancement of basic research and/or clinical (translational) medical research in the field of Biotherapies.
Students are free to choose courses proposed by the different partners during the first and/or the second year of the Master.
Students must acquire 120 ECTS at the end of the master. Duration of exchanges between university partners will be about 6 to 8 months including teaching and lab practical

Programme

The joint program will allow students to receive a high quality formation in biotherapy, immunology, cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy and immunotechnology:
•Teaching in the field of Biotherapies and Immunology, from fundamental to practical aspects.
•Practical training in immunotherapy, vaccinology, cell and gene therapy.
•The teaching courses should help orientate the students towards academic or industrial research, as well as other biotech activities.
•Offer to our students scientific education and training of top international level.

Students are free to choose courses proposed by the different partners during the first and/or the second year of the Master.
